Following Aston Villa's firing, Steven Gerrard was backed to coach Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe.

Gregory Vignal believes that former Aston Villa manager Steven Gerrard will succeed when he returns to management with Paris Saint-Germain, which is being connected to the legendary Liverpool player.

After being fired by Aston Villa in October, the former Reds captain is currently unemployed. Before being fired and being replaced by Unai Emery, the 42-year-old manager of the Premier League club had been in charge for 11 months.

Before to this, Gerrard led Rangers for more than three years. The Liverpool legend won the league championship for the Glasgow club in 2021 when he was living in Scotland, breaking Celtic's record of nine straight victories in the top division.

There are rumors that the French club is trying to get rid of current manager Christophe Galtier. Rumors about potential replacements have therefore been circulating. According to the Scottish news, the Paris club management has brought up Gerrard because they are "increasingly frustrated" with Galtier.

And Vignal, a former Rangers defender, believes Gerrard would be a fantastic fit for the French big players. I'm very convinced Steven is ready to crack on again," he stated, speaking exclusively to the Scottish Daily Express. I believe his mental fortitude is sufficient for beginning a new endeavor. Not Paris Saint-Germain, why? He has been the topic of conversation.

"I'm confident he can find a nice position soon, whether it's in the Premier League or elsewhere. It was wonderful to be on the same team as Steven and Michael Beale because I worked with both the first team and the youths while I was a Rangers player.

"Michael has been so busy since he returned that I haven't had a chance to have a lengthy conversation with him. We spoke over Christmas, and I obviously wished him luck."
